Chief-of-Staff and owner of the hospital, Dr. Buchanan is an honors graduate of Wabash College and Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. He has been in companion animal practice for over 27 years.
Dr. Wiggers, who served as the first staff veterinarian at the hospital, earned her distinguished undergraduate, masters and veterinary degrees from Michigan State University. She has been in private practice for over 25 years.
Dr. Cline graduated from Purdue University Veterinary School in 1989. She has practiced small animal medicine since then, working at The Downtown Veterinarian for the last 11 years. When not caring for our patients, Dr. Cline is busy being with her 3 children, husband, and pets - Peter the dog, Tommy the cat, Penelope and Mo the guinea pigs.
Dr. Jones is a 2001 graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has always practiced in Indiana, but moved to Indianapolis in 2012. In her spare time she trains and competes with her Australian Cattle Dog in multiple dog sports, including agility. Her dog is a registered therapy dog and they volunteer at the Indiana School for the Deaf. She also enjoys concerts, theater, and cheering on the Colts.
Samantha graduated from the International Business College in 2013 and became registered in the spring of 2014. When she is not at work she enjoys eating all kinds of sushi, riding horses and spending time with her family and friends. She is also a proud owner of 3 furr babies; a chocolate lab named Murphy, a Australian shepherd mix named Charles, and a kitty named Rayne.
Amanda graduated from Purdue University in December of 2012. She is the owner of two anti-social cats named Stash and Violet. She's an extreme Taylor Swift enthusiast, a Starbucks addict, and a lover of shopping. Her hobbies include pedicures, concerts, and forcing her cats to love her.
Gayle has been with The Downtown Veterinarian since September 2007. She is an accomplished artist and has a B.F.A. in Photography from John Herron School of Art. She also humbly bears the title of 'President' to the fan club she began for her two cats, Mushi Alabama and Mango Nevada.
Jenny has been an animal enthusiast all her life and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Animal Science in 2016. She has been riding and showing horses since the age of 8 and trains hunter/jumper horses in her free time. Jenny also enjoys going to concerts, cooking, and taking long walks with her dog Maya. Jenny's current fur children are her dog Maya, her kitty Silas, and her pony Magic.
Mary has been with The Downtown Veterinarian since November 2003. She enjoys spending time with her family- furry and human, and also loves to organize. Mary has 2 dogs; Maggie (Lab mix) and Lucy (Chinese Crested).
Christine has been a Customer Service Representative at The Downtown Veterinarian since Summer of 2012, having previously worked in a similar position at a human medical office. She enjoys daily doses of cute via our adorable patients and her own three cats, Clive, Dan and Clementine. She also likes riding her bike and spending time with her son.
Piper has been with the Downtown Veterinarian since May 2017. When she's not on the clock, she can usually be found spouting off random trivia, jumping around at a concert, or getting in some snuggle time with her cat, Meadow.
Brenda started working at the Downtown Veterinarian in May 2017. She currently attends IUPUI and is working on her Animal Science degree. She enjoys taking walks on the canal with her chow chow mix, Pearla, traveling to different cities, and eating Thai food.
Clayton is currently a second year college student at IUPUI studying Biology, and has plans of becoming a veterinarian someday. He is very interested in science and video games. He also has one cat named Leo.
Tammy has been with the Downtown Veterinarian since August 2017. She enjoys spending time with her family and dog Minnie Pearl. She also has an interest in gardening and cooking.
I love sitting on fingers and shoulders and having my head scratched. In my free time, I like to learn new songs to whistle, play the bell on my new hanging toy, and shred my other toys that are made especially for that!
Lazzie came to DTV after a client saw him struck by two different vehicles. He had a crushed pelvis, a broken leg, and a head injury. He couldn’t walk for six months but now patrols the clinic.
